Frequently Asked Questions

Will my dog forget me and the family while away for so long during training?
Dogs have a very long memory and three to four months is not a long time for them.  You will also be coming out as often as you can to work with your dog and myself.  Once your dog sees you and hears your voice they will recognize you and be happy to see you.

Will training change my dog’s personality?
Training changes your dog’s behavior but not his personality.  It helps the dogs thought process so that they can have more self-control and will respond to commands more easily.

Will training correct my dog’s bad habits such as digging, destructive chewing or unnecessary barking? Training teaches the dog to respond to commands.  Digging, chewing and barking in young dogs is best controlled as the dog grows older.  Putting your dog in a crate or dog run, when you are not able to supervise him, will eliminate digging and chewing.  An electronic bark collar is a good tool to control barking, they have variable intensity levels to suite your dog.  When your dog barks, it will activate the collar for stimulation, which in turns your dog will stop barking.
